4 THINGS THAT ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN MONEY IN LIFE!

"Money is the most overrated thing in the world. Almost everything beautiful in life is above money" Random quotes from a guy on Quora. But it conveys so much truth.

We live in times where the definition of life is basically about money and the Internet is not making it easy for us.

Every sales coach or real estate guru wants to broke-shame you for not having "7 figures" in your bank accounts, Driving the latest Bugatti or Lamborghini, living in the most luxurious apartments, and painting a picture of a perfect life that is a hoax.

Don't worry, I did not forget to mention the crypto punk or financial market geniuses who makes you feel bad for not jumping on Bitcoin 10 years ago, and not buying their courses, or joining their community online.

Of course, I can't forget your favorite mentor, the Top G himself Andrew Tate, or Iman Gadzhi, and all the social media big boys clubs that constantly bombard you with the motivation to be rich.

I get it, The pressure is high, and the expectations are burdensome. You want to take care of the family and make Mama proud.

To be honest, you're not wrong and money is not a bad thing. Money is good, money is necessary. Money will help you solve a lot of problems.

But in the hierarchy of life, some things are more important and more valuable than money.

Here are 4 things that are more important than money.

1. TIME:

"Time lost can never be recovered"

Time is the ultimate factor. If you spend a dollar you can have it back but for every second you waste there is no amount of money that can get it back. Invest your time wisely and use it on things that are meaningful and not expedient.

Quit your job if you hate it. Watch movies less and do more good in the world. Plant a tree, write a book, and create a legacy that will outlast you.

We are visitors on this earth. And the truth is, we will not live forever. Every passing second, minute, and hour of the day not utilized purposefully, will lead to an unpleasant life.

THE FOLLY OF YOUNG PEOPLE

Don't believe in these lies. "You're still young", "30s is the new 20s"  "Life begins at 40"

If you allow your youthful age to waste away, you will live in regrets all your life. Even the Bible agrees with me that "The glory of young men is in their strength...."Prov 20:29.

Your youthful age is a period where you lay the foundations and pillars of your life. Just in case you don't know the average life expectancy for men globally is 68.9 years (worlddata.info). If you live in Nigeria, it's worst. If for any reason you live passed 52, you should be thanking God every minute. In fact,

Who is to say how long a man should live or die?

This is the mystery of life. Death is what gives life meaning and it doesn't consult with you when it's coming. Even if you make all the money there is in this world, you cannot bribe death, death is inevitable!

BUY BACK YOUR TIME!

Stop living like a slave. We all hate this idea of servitude, but we freely give ourselves to slavery without physical or mental coercion from anybody. You work 9 to 5 every goddam day of the week just to put food on the table. Netflix, Hulu, and Prime have eaten your soul.

"Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey" Rom.6:16.

Time is your most precious commodity and everybody wants it. Can we truly escape from being slaves? The truth is, as long as the obligation to meet one's responsibility continues to exist, we have no other option than to be slaves.

Forgive me, there is another option and that is buying back your time. This is the secret of the rich. They use all their money and resources to buy back their time by paying other people to work for them.

For example, If it takes 10,000 hours to build a product, they don't mind paying 100 people to get the job done. That's how they buy 1 year and 51 days of their time and life back.

I know what's in your mind, " But you need money to buy back time!"

Yes!

It takes money to buy back time, but it takes time to make money. That's why you should use your time effectively and only do things that compound and help you buy back your time.

 2. HEALTH

Health is greater than wealth.

Health is wealth.

Money means nothing to a dying body. get your Health in order. Exercises, eat good food, run check-ups and donate your blood.

your body is the car that will ride you through your time Here on earth keep it in good condition.

“A fit body, a calm mind, a house full of love. These things cannot be bought – they must be earned.” – Naval Ravikant

We live in times where the reckless pursuit of money has blinded people's eyes toward their health. 70% of the US population eats junk and processed food. 13% of adults in the world are obese. It gets worst, in the US more than 1 in 3 adults were obese in 2016. Cancer is at its all-time high. What a scary time to be alive.

What's the purpose of money if you can't enjoy it or If you have to always spend it on the hospital bed every day?

REVENGE MISSION: THE NUMBER ONE REASON WHY PEOPLE HAVE UNHEALTHY EATING HABITS!

A lot of people are on a revenge mission and food is their scapegoat. The fact that you ate rice without meat or chicken when you were a kid, or you had never tasted Ice cream till you were 18 does not mean you should eat anything that looks like meat or be taking a bowl Of ice cream every minute of the day, especially now that you have money. Sacrificing your health on the altar of revenge is not worth it. Real wealth is being sufficient in mind, body, and soul.

It's not like eating junk or whatever you want is wrong. But do you balance your toxic eating habit with adequate body exercise?

WHAT ABOUT YOUR MENTAL HEALTH

What good is money to a madman? Imagine giving a madman a million dollars. He seldom knows that the money is there.

Peace, love, and Joy are something money cannot buy. It comes from deep within your soul and that can only happen when you're living a fulfilling life. That's why most Millionaires are not happy.

3. RELATIONSHIPS

"Who you know is better than what you know..."

You don't want to be a lone wolf

“Loneliness kills. It’s as powerful as smoking or alcoholism.”

— Robert Waldinger

You need people in your corner. You need a wife, you need children, you need partners, you need investors, and you need friends.

Prioritize your relationship with people. It will make your life less miserable. If you want to meet the amazing people in my community click here. This is not a clickbait. There is a study from Harvard that has been going on for almost 80 years. This study proves that embracing community helps us line stronger and better.

A group of scientists from Harvard started an  experiment to track down the life of 268 Harvard sophomores in 1938. They aimed to find out if the study could reveal clues to a healthy and happy Life.

80 years later, the director of the study, a psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital, and a professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School Robert Waldinger have this to say; "The surprising finding is that our relationships and how happy we are in our relationships have a powerful influence on our health. Taking care of your body is important, but tending to your relationships is a form of self-care too. That, I think, is the revelation.”

There is nothing more important than building relationships. A close relationship, more than money, more than fame, is the secret to long-lasting happiness.

I can say this is a fact firsthand because I am a product of profitable relationships. My great Friends from my University days are the ones that made me who I am today. People like Deji Atoyebi, and Okedeji Emmanuel taught me programming and showed me writing. Josh Tracy, Dan Smith, and John Wills are the ones I've built a future with. If you want to be great, be amongst the great. At the end of the day, like Mark Twain would say; “Good friends, good books, and a sleepy conscience: this is the ideal life.”

4. knowledge

Wisdom is a principal thing and in all thy getting, get understanding.

your life will be tougher than necessary without wisdom

knowledge and understanding.

Seek them as much as you seek money, they are going to serve you a lifetime.

“It is a disgrace to grow old through sheer carelessness before seeing what manner of man you may become by developing your bodily strength and beauty to their highest limit.” ― Socrates

The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool.” ― William Shakespeare.
